The BOP Freelancer Segment and Credit Card was launched by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to boost economic growth in Pakistan. Bank of Punjab (BOP) CEO, Zafar Masud, stated that Pakistan has about 3 million freelancers who contributed $400 million to the country’s IT export remittances in the fiscal year 2022.

They can officially receive foreign remittances and obtain enhanced credit and debit limits up to $5,000 per month and $30,000 per year.
